Sell surplus machinery and plant

Machinery that is no longer used can still occupy valuable working space. Send details of the plant or equipment you want to sell, with photographs and its current condition.

Tell us how the equipment is installed

Include the make, model, approximate age and any available service information. Tell us whether it is operational, disconnected or still installed. Dimensions and weight estimates help us assess collection requirements.

If removal needs lifting equipment, dismantling or a specialist contractor, make that clear. Collection responsibilities must be agreed before work starts.

What to include

  • Make, model, approximate age and quantity.
  • Working condition, known faults and available service information.
  • Photographs from several sides and of relevant identification plates.
  • Approximate dimensions and weight, if known.
  • Installed or disconnected status, access and specialist removal requirements.

Removal needs its own plan

A purchase does not automatically include specialist lifting, disconnection or decommissioning. Describe the work required so the responsible parties and arrangements can be agreed.

Leave installed equipment in a safe condition. Do not start dismantling based solely on an enquiry.

Useful questions

Do you need exact dimensions and weight?

Provide reliable figures where available and clearly label estimates. Large or installed equipment may need further assessment before collection can be planned.

Can installed machinery be considered?

Yes, for assessment. Explain how it is connected, where it is positioned and what specialist work would be needed to remove it.

Does plant mean horticultural plants here?

This page concerns industrial plant and equipment. If your stock falls outside that category, use Other or mixed stock when you enquire.

Tell us what you need to sell.

Share the quantities, condition and collection postcode in your enquiry. Email photographs to help us assess the stock.
