Working condition and completeness
Tell us which items are sealed, tested, untested or faulty. Include missing accessories and packaging damage. Testing records are useful where they exist, but untested products must not be presented as working.
For devices that can hold personal data, tell us how the data will be removed before transfer. We will also need details of any batteries, damaged cells, recalls or restrictions that affect handling.
What to send
- Make, model, quantities and a breakdown by condition.
- Photographs of products, packaging and relevant labels.
- Testing records, known faults and missing accessories.
- Battery condition, recalls and any handling restrictions.
- Information about data removal where devices can hold personal data.
Separate reusable goods from waste
Describe faulty products and any known safety concerns accurately. A request to buy stock does not establish that all goods can be resold or that waste handling is included.
Data erasure, electrical checks and any specialist handling responsibilities must be agreed. Do not assume these services are included in a purchase.
Useful questions
Can I submit untested electronics?
Yes, for assessment. Clearly label the goods as untested and include any information you have about their origin, condition and missing parts.
Do you need every model number?
Model details are important for identifying electronics. Provide as much of the list as you can and distinguish estimates or unidentified items.
What about devices holding personal data?
Tell us how personal data will be removed before transfer. Do not send passwords, personal files or account details through the enquiry form.
